My name is Christina, and I am currently a senior in high-school. Ever since I was young, I was sure I wanted to be an Artist. Then, I discovered animation and fell in love with it. I told everyone I knew, “I’m going to be an animator.”

That’s when the world fell Ill. Covid-19 hit. I saw my community crumble, animators getting laid off, people loosing their lives, it felt like a community I grew up with had been purged. I watched my favorite artists struggle, and I began to question if animation was truly what I wanted to do. I’ve always been fond of science, so I looked into Pharmacy. It was a stable career, but would I really have to give up my passion?

NO! I realized that I am capable doing both! Now, I have collected 30 college credits through dual enrollment allowing me to graduate early. I am academically pursuing Pharmacy, and selling paintings at the same time! I can still create art and express myself, and not worry about food on the table. I can make the time for both.
